ROBERT L. DeBOVIS SUNDAY, MAY 18, 2008 (Watertown Daily Times, NY) Robert L. DeBovis, 64, of 140 Palmer St., Watertown, died Friday at Samaritan Medical Center, after a long illness. Mr. DeBovis worked at New York Air Brake Co. for 24 years until 1995. Born Jan. 8, 1944, in Watertown, son of Andrew and Ilene Leonard DeBovis, he graduated from Watertown High School and served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He married Mary Jo Fassett on April 1, 1967, at St. Anthony's Church. Mr. DeBovis earned an associate's degree in accounting in 1998 from Jefferson Community College and was a member of Elks Lodge 496. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Robert, Adams Center, and Raymond and Jason, both of Watertown; a sister, JoAnn DeBovis, Watertown; two grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at TLC Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. In place of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
