                William G. Lachenauer Jr.
                                
     William G. Lachenauer, 63, Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Watertown, died May 1 at the    
 Mayo Clinic Hospital in Scottsdale.
     Mr. Lachenauer was vice president of information technology at Blood Systems Inc.,
Scottsdale. He formerly had served as director of management information systems at Rochester
General Hospital and Community Medical Center, Scranton, Pa., and was chief information
officer at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, moving to Scottsdale in 1998.
     Born Dec. 15, 1943, in Watertown, son of former Watertown Mayor William G.
Lachenauer and Beatrice Elizabeth McFarlane Lachenauer, he graduated  from Watertown High
School in 1962 and attended Eastern Kentucky State College, Richmond; Jefferson Community
College and the Plus School of Business in Boston, Mass.
     He married Ann Lee Williamson of Watertown on Dec. 24, 1966, at the First Presbyterian
Church with the Rev. John B. Smiley officiating.
     Surviving besides his wife are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Edwin, Denver, Colo., and
William and Tanya, Reno, Nev.; a sister, Gretchen Schneider, Ontario, N.Y., a granddaughter
and numerous extended family members.
     The body was cremated. Arrangements are with Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary,
Scottsdale.
